The Norwegian Breakaway Haven suite complex, located on decks 15 through 17 and featuring its own private pool area and lounge, is also generally quiet despite sharing space with common areas. Instead, Norwegian Breakaway offers resort-like, rather than ship-like, entertainment and dining. It's a style that other cruise lines have adopted, but Norwegian Breakaway did it first by outpacing its competitors with sheer number of restaurants, shows and entertainment venues. Our experience onboard a seven-night cruise felt so much like a jam-packed stay at a really good Las Vegas resort that we only remembered we were on a ship when looking out to sea.
Differences Among Ships Within the Breakaway Class
With the Norwegian Breakaway previously named ‘Best Cruise Ship for Families’ by USA Today, these impressive vessels offer many opportunities and experiences for guests to make the most out of their cruise vacation. Fun fact is that the ship's name was selected through a public contest (submitted by Kimberly Powell). The ship's Inaugural Cruise (Maiden Voyage) was on April 30, 2013. The Waterfront
This is a balcony cabin, which is larger than the standard balcony cabin. The Norwegian Breakaway Spa Suites feature a large in-suite whirlpool tub with a view. In both 2018 and 2020, the ships received mechanical and interior upgrades to help bring both ships into the future. The recent refurbishments to both Breakaway Class ships helps ensure that they have many years on the high seas ahead. Both the Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway offer Splash Academy, a venue specifically for children ages 5 to 12.
Eight of the venues and those accessible to guests staying in The Haven are included in the basic cruise fare, and the others either have a fixed surcharge or a la carte pricing. With 29 dining options on the Norwegian Breakaway, guests on seven-day cruises will have to select their favorite cuisines since they won't be able to try them all. Some balcony cabins have the bed by the sliding glass door; others have the sofa and desk located in this position. The 120 oceanview cabins have a large picture window, but no balcony. Forty-four of the oceanview cabins are "family oceanview" sleep up to five guests and have a double sink and tub in the bathroom.

Fifteen years later after she was refitted with new engines she was re-christened as the Lady of the Lake. Since her first cruise on Lake Minnetonka, out of Excelsior Bay, she has played host to vacationers, Arts Festival, and Apple Festival fairgoers. She remains the only triple deck boat on Lake Minnetonka, and has the largest open air deck on the lake. We have multiple boats we can pair for large groups.

Your cruise will travel around Big Island and paddle across historical settings, wildlife, and pristine flora and fauna, which will transport you into a calm relaxing voyage.
